The strongest evidence for the existence of extraterrestrials on Earth comes not from archaeological artifacts, but from current research on parapsychology and schizophrenia.
Introduction
The question of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations seems sufficiently discussed at first glance: Some point to the size of the universe and the probability of Earth-like planets, others to the lack of success of SETI research. But scientific discussion has taken a surprising turn in recent years. New discoveries and statistical analyses force us to reconsider previous assumptions.
This article systematically examines the evidence for the Founder Hypothesis. This postulates not only the existence of an advanced extraterrestrial civilization, but also their active presence on Earth and their ability to manipulate human thought processes. The analysis follows three steps that build upon each other:
First, we consider the evidence for the existence of at least one interstellar civilization. In the second step, we examine the evidence for extraterrestrial presence on Earth, both in the past and in the present. Finally, we analyze the strongest evidence: scientific studies on telepathy and schizophrenia that can only be explained by the existence of highly advanced extraterrestrial technology.
This sequence is not randomly chosen: The evidence for the manipulation of human thoughts simultaneously implies the presence of an extraterrestrial civilization on Earth and thus also their existence. Likewise, evidence of extraterrestrial activity on Earth automatically proves the existence of at least one interstellar civilization. Through this hierarchical structure of evidence, the argumentation gains additional strength.
A) Existence of an Interstellar Civilization
The Fermi Paradox
The question of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations has occupied science for more than a century. As early as 1909, inventor Nikola Tesla speculated that there must be life “in all stages of development” in our galaxy. This conviction was based on a simple consideration: Many of the billions of stars in the galaxy are older than our solar system and have Earth-like planets. Consequently, intelligent life could have developed there whose technology is millions of years ahead of ours.
Physicist Enrico Fermi developed this consideration further in 1950 and formulated the paradox named after him: If technologically advanced civilizations exist, they could have colonized the galaxy long ago. So why don’t we see any traces of them? This question led to intensive scientific discussions about the probability of extraterrestrial civilizations.
A first systematic approach to estimating the number of technologically developed civilizations in our galaxy was the Drake Equation, presented in 1961 by astrophysicist Frank Drake. The equation considers various factors such as the frequency of Earth-like planets and the probability of intelligent life emerging. A current analysis of this equation by Sandberg et al. (2018) concluded that either many interstellar civilizations exist, or that only once did an advanced civilization arise in the course of natural evolution — a middle value is unlikely.
Systematic Search for Evidence
Classic Search Strategies
Since the 1960s, scientists have systematically searched for signs of extraterrestrial civilizations. Physicist Freeman Dyson suspected that highly developed civilizations require enormous amounts of energy and might surround entire stars with solar power plants. These “Dyson spheres” would produce characteristic radiation patterns.
In parallel, various SETI projects (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) began searching for artificial radio signals from space. Although this search has been unsuccessful so far, this does not necessarily mean that no advanced civilizations exist. A technologically superior species could use other communication methods or deliberately keep their position secret.
The Oumuamua Discovery
A scientific breakthrough came in 2017 with the discovery of Oumuamua, the first observed interstellar object in our solar system. Astronomers Bialy and Loeb from Harvard University noticed that Oumuamua has several physically inexplicable properties: It accelerated when leaving our solar system without a visible comet tail, had an extreme length-to-width ratio, and unusually high reflectivity. These properties can only be conclusively explained by assuming an artificial object — possibly a solar sail of extraterrestrial origin.
The discovery of Oumuamua is particularly significant because it is the first concrete physical evidence for the existence of an interstellar civilization. Unlike previous indications, this is a scientifically documented phenomenon that probably cannot be explained by natural processes.
B) Presence of Extraterrestrials on Earth
Contact with Extraterrestrials in the Past
Archaeological Artifacts
The most fascinating archaeological evidence comes from ancient Mesopotamia. Particularly remarkable are the Ubaid figurines, statuettes from around 4000 BC depicting humanoid beings with reptilian features. These approximately 15 cm tall terracotta figures were mainly used as grave goods and were found primarily in areas with temples, especially in Ur, Eridu, and Uruk.
However, the significance of these artifacts for proving the Founder Hypothesis is limited. While the figurines are an interesting indication of possible extraterrestrial contact, their interpretation remains speculative. Alternative explanations such as religious symbolism or artistic expressions cannot be ruled out.
Mythological Records
Sumerian mythology reports of the Anunnaki — god-like beings who descended from heaven. A particularly revealing document is the Sumerian King List from around 2000 BC. It describes how “kingship descended from heaven” and records extraordinarily long reigns for early kings. Before a great flood, individual kings are said to have ruled for up to 43,200 years.
These mythological texts gain significance when interpreted in the context of the Founder Hypothesis: The long reigns could indicate that extraterrestrial consciousnesses exercised control over various people through several human generations. However, alternative interpretations must also be considered here.
Temporal Synchronicity
A particularly strong indication of extraterrestrial influence is the temporal synchronicity of important cultural developments. The invention of writing occurred around 3300 BC almost simultaneously in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus Valley. Similar synchronicity is seen in the development of administrative systems and the introduction of money. This simultaneity is difficult to explain through independent development, as these inventions could just as well have been made millennia earlier or later.
Summary
Conventional historiography faces the problem of having to make several improbable assumptions simultaneously. These are:
- The people of antiquity were not intelligent enough to recognize the nature of their reality
- The people of antiquity developed completely unmotivated complex mythologies and transmitted them over millennia
- No explanation is needed for why humans around 3500 BC suddenly showed great creativity and simultaneously erected complex civilizations in different parts of the world, but then conservatively adhered to them for thousands of years
- That numerous developments and inventions were made almost simultaneously by different people or different cultures, although they could have been made much earlier, is mere coincidence
The Founder Hypothesis avoids these implausible assumptions and offers an elegant explanation: The coordinated cultural development followed a plan by the extraterrestrials for the advancement of human civilization.
Present Presence of Extraterrestrials on Earth
The most convincing direct evidence for the current presence of extraterrestrials on Earth comes from the US Navy. The USS Nimitz incident from 2004 was documented by several F-18 Super Hornet pilots. They observed a cigar-shaped object that performed technically impossible maneuvers for us: It accelerated within seconds from standstill to multiple supersonic speeds without recognizable propulsion systems or exhaust, and could abruptly change flight direction.
The Puerto Rico incident from 2013, recorded by the Department of Homeland Security, provides further impressive evidence. The infrared recordings show an object that dove into the sea without deceleration and continued flying underwater at up to 150 km/h — a speed that far exceeds our most advanced underwater drones.
The accumulation of UFO sightings over oceans suggests that the extraterrestrial drones use underwater bases. The observed flight characteristics indicate that they use propulsion systems far ahead of our physical understanding.
C) Manipulation of Human Thoughts
Parapsychological Phenomena
The strongest evidence for the Founder Hypothesis comes from scientific investigation of parapsychological phenomena. Particularly significant are the meta-analyses by Storm et al. (2010) and Cardeña (2018) on telepathy. The studies used standardized Ganzfeld experiments where a ‘sender’ attempts to mentally transmit specific information to a ‘receiver’. The achieved p-value of p < 10^-16 far exceeds the usual scientific requirements for statistical significance.
These results were intensively examined for possible sources of error. A study commissioned by the National Academy of Science confirmed that alternative explanations such as experimenter effects, selective publication, or statistical artifacts cannot explain the effects. The experiments “regularly meet the basic requirements for solid experimental design.”
The demonstrated existence of telepathy has far-reaching consequences: Since it could not have developed through natural evolution — otherwise it would be part of human everyday life — it must be based on advanced technology. The lack of replicability of the experiments reinforces this conclusion: The phenomena only occur when extraterrestrial technology is active.
This also explains another observation: Artists and creative people often show better results in the experiments. The Founder Hypothesis interprets this as evidence that their brains respond better to extraterrestrial technology through regular support in creative processes.
Schizophrenia and Demonic Possession
Neurological Analysis
Schizophrenia shows a characteristic pattern of altered brain connectivity. Those affected experience “thought insertion” and “external control” — they feel that their thoughts and actions are controlled from outside. The disease is associated with a significant reduction in the structural connectivity of the brain, especially in fronto-temporal, interhemispheric, and thalamo-cortical regions.
The amazing thing is: Despite these profound structural changes, a significant proportion of patients can apparently recover. This presents medicine with a fundamental problem: Natural neural plasticity is limited. Recovery from a disease that so severely reduces the structural networking of the brain would actually be impossible. The fiber bundles connecting different brain areas would not have evolved if the brain could establish biological bypasses for them.
Even more mysterious are the occurring hallucinations. Visual hallucinations, for example, require the integration of complex, non-existent objects into the visual field. This presupposes the interaction of several mental processes:
- A process that designs a plot for imaginary objects
- A process that plans integration into the visual field
- A process that activates the necessary neurons to make the objects appear photorealistic
Such processes could not have evolved because they would drastically reduce an individual’s fitness. They are also too complex to arise spontaneously.
Evidence for the Hypothesis
The Founder Hypothesis offers a coherent explanation: Schizophrenia is not a natural disease but arises when extraterrestrials learn to rewire human brains. The various symptoms are thereby functional:
- Hallucinations give extraterrestrials clues about how they need to reshape neural circuits
- Thought insertion and external control arise during the reprogramming of decision processes
- Apparent recovery occurs when the new brain configuration is established
A Bayesian analysis shows: The probability that all these symptoms randomly occur as a package in a natural disease is vanishingly small (p < 10^-6). In contrast, exactly these symptoms would be expected if an advanced civilization learns to control human thought processes.
This interpretation is supported by the phenomenon of ‘demonic possession’. The symptoms overlap strongly with schizophrenia but show some revealing peculiarities. While schizophrenia patients often suffer from unspecific hallucinations, the ‘possessed’ frequently report very specific experiences such as voices claiming to want to take control of the person or speaking in unknown languages. Particularly noteworthy is the accumulation of behaviors that activate the dopamine system, such as excessive masturbation and drug use. Since dopamine increases neuroplasticity, these behaviors could facilitate brain rewiring.
The dramatic increase in such cases in recent years — the Catholic Church had to quadruple the number of its exorcists — could indicate that extraterrestrials are intensively developing their abilities for mind control. This fits the prediction of the Founder Hypothesis that extraterrestrials systematically learn to rewire human brains.
Summary
The analysis of evidence for the Founder Hypothesis follows a hierarchical structure where each new level of evidence includes the previous one. The strongest evidence is found in the scientific investigation of schizophrenia and telepathy, as these phenomena can only be explained by the existence of highly advanced extraterrestrial technology.
The neurological analysis of schizophrenia shows patterns incompatible with natural processes: The combination of reduced brain connectivity with the possibility of apparent recovery, as well as the occurrence of complex mental processes that could not have evolved. The high statistical significance of parapsychological studies (p < 10^-16) provides further convincing evidence for extraterrestrial technology for thought transmission.
The Founder Hypothesis is further supported by documented UFO sightings by the US Navy that demonstrate technological capabilities beyond our own abilities. Historical evidence such as the temporal synchronicity of early cultural developments and mythological traditions fit into this picture. The discovery of the interstellar object Oumuamua provides additional physical evidence for the existence of an advanced extraterrestrial civilization.
The totality of evidence shows that a highly developed civilization indeed uses their technology to systematically study and control human thought processes — exactly as the Founder Hypothesis postulates.
